The Purpose of This Blog

On Sunday, April 9, 2017, our twin boys, Ezra Lee and Leo Allen, died. They were born stillborn, just a day shy of 21 weeks. Any stillbirth is tragic. Yet, this loss was particularly painful, because this was supposed to be our double rainbow, the much awaited and longed for babies after we had already endured four early miscarriages within two years. We have no living children.

Now, we are simply trying to put one foot in front of the other, as we embark into a future far different than the one that we had imagined. In this blog, we hope to chronicle the journey of our grief and our hope as we face life at the end of the rainbow.

  3. Hopefully, sharing your grief will lighten the load you are carrying. Having had frequent miscarriages, you know that grief is a life long journey. Thank you so much for sharing your story. Surround yourself with caring friends and family as you step into this unfamiliar territory.

  4. Thank you for sharing your blog with me. I honestly feel that sharing your story will help you through the journey. It will also help so many others with the same or similar experience. Also, this will help others understand your innermost feelings that are sometimes hard to share and reach those near and far, so that they may know what you are going through. You can also look back on it years from now and see how far you’ve come. I am positive that there are many unexpected wonderful things ahead for you and Patrick. Sometimes, those things don’t come to light right away but when we look back we see how God was working in our lives. I continue to pray with you and for you that God will shower you with happiness in your future! Much love, Jill and Emma
